mood: accomplished ..well, sort of.

so i have returned. unfortunately, that will be short-lived as i really no longer have any time to update this site. yes, i'm still producing art, but most of it is for school and not things that i'm really interested in posting here. anyone who's ever been through an Art Foundation program knows that most of the pieces you make aren't necessarily things you're heart is in. sad, but true. my department admissions portfolio is due friday, april 1st ..so wish me luck with that. if i don't get into interior design ..i'm gonna cry.
artistic efforts as of late are as follows: 'vestiphobia: the fear of clothing' (sculpture): had to use garment, wood, and wire to create a piece of sculpture ..little creepy crawly creatures coming alive from neckties, shoes, and even a pair of pants. unfortunately, my professor and classmates didn't like it much. fuck them anyway. currently i'm working on a self-portraiture series, 3 realistic renderings (graphite, charcoal, and paint) of myself, and then some of the photography featured on this site layered with some of my lyrics and poetry. hopefully that will go over better than my last attempt.
besides art, i've been playing a lot of music. i'm teaching myself to play the piano, which is a somewhat daunting task, but i think it's under control. so far i've written a couple of melodies and such, and will probably record and post them soon. i've been given an offer to studio-record some tracks through a friend of a friend, and hopefully that will all work out smoothly. with any luck, my EP ('saturday morning') will be out this summer. also, i've been recruited to do some modeling for the Venus swimwear catalogue and a few other athletic apparel catalogues. my first shoot will probably be april 3rd, so if you see a familiar face next time you're looking at bikinis, don't freak out.
